A leave request starts with an email, is tracked in a spreadsheet, gets approved on WhatsApp, and three months later nobody can find who approved what and when. A request form is opened; a rule routes it to the right authority; approval levels run; the result is written to the ERP or CRM; the dashboard measures the process. With no gaps and no duplicate entry, both speed and traceability increase.

When is ERP not enough, and when do you need a platform?

ERP manages core resources such as finance, inventory, production and sales. But every organization has processes of its own that do not fit into the ERP: the field team's visit form, dealer applications, asset assignments, laboratory sample tracking, tender files. What to watch when starting

Start with one process: the one that generates the most email and spreadsheets is the first candidate. Name a process owner; the person who builds and changes the platform should be the one who knows the work, not the technical team. Plan integration from the start: which data is read from the ERP, which is written back? Design the report together with the process; a process that is not measured cannot be improved. Set up permissions and approval levels according to the real organization, and do not forget delegation and escalation.
